I’m an experienced instructor and performer who loves working with students to help achieve their goals, whether they are big or small. I am a Rutgers Graduate with a degree in Music Performance and I play in multiple bands and as a solo performer. I specialize in several styles including rock, pop, blues, jazz and country. I also teach music theory and more advanced techniques for those whose are interested. I have performed in bands for well over a decade, and have played multiple musical genres.
I started teaching over 8 years ago, and currently teach many private students in their homes. I have also taught at Music And Arts, in many of their facilities over the years. I teach several instruments including guitar, bass, piano, drums and voice. Students of any age or skill level are welcome to take lessons with me, and I can work to achieve their goals—whether it’s just to sing around the campfire with friend or to tour the world and become a professional musician. I teach based on the interest of each individual student to keep things fresh and fun for them.
My method varies depending on the student. If the student wants a traditional musical approach, and is interested in learning notation and theory, then we will usually start with the Hal Leonard Book Series. If the student doesn’t want to learn notes or the more advanced musical concepts, I usually just start by teaching them simple songs that they know from the radio, TV Shows or movies. Something to get them really excited about learning and practicing, and songs that they recognize and can show others.
The most important thing for me as a teacher is to see my students having fun, and really enjoying learning their instrument. I want to see them be passionate about getting better because they’re excited about what’s coming next. By learning about the students goals, and also learning about their musical taste and the kinds of music that inspire them, I can create a lesson plan that totally dedicated to each individual student so that they get the most out of their lesson, and so that I get them closer to their goal.

Brandon is excellent! I wasn’t confident that online classes would be as good as in person, but this process has made it easy for my new beginner 6 year old to learn efficiently. Brandon is communicative, patient, explains well the lesson well and always makes sure to send simple lessons easy to follow to practice throughout the week independently. He also has great tips and is very attentive. Highly recommend this whole process and Brandon for young beginners and in general.
