I am internationally renowned drummer, percussionist, clinician, writer and educator, I initially received acclaim at age 22 as a clinician/instructor for high school marching bands. Since then I have shared my knowledge and expertise with Bunker Hill High School, East Peoria High School, Metamora High School, St. Stephens High School, East Burke High School, Independence High School, Lake Norman High School, Newton Conover Middle School, Newton Conover High School, North Iredell High School, South Iredell High School, Hickory High High School, East Gaston High School, LakeShore Middle School, LakeShore High School, among others.
As a drummer and percussionist I was the number 1 slot drummer/percussionist in Charlotte, NC for performing in musical theaters. Some musicals I have played on are Passing Strange, Dream A Little Dream, Trailer Park Christmas Musical 3 times, Cougar, Rock of Ages, Footloose, La Cage Aux Folles, and Ragtime. I have performed and/or toured with Sinai Vessel, Benton Blount, Elevation Worship, Freedom House Worship, Elevate Church, Church 2.14, Christ Church, Andrew Broome Jazz Trio, Axis Church. I frequently appear at worship workshops to help train other drummers and musicians in the church.
I use my own book and techniques which have been proven to work with every student that I have encountered. I am relatable and use techniques such as basketballs, tennis balls, as examples to be creative and unique. If you want to know how I incorporate that then sign up. :) I am for reading music, so I always incorporate reading as well as playing with a metronome. We are not perfect but the metronome more than likely is. I like to have fun, learn as well. I do use other books as well but I like to be original.
