ABOUT
Degrees / Training / Special Info:
.
Overview:
I Started with music 17 years now . I began age 10 with cello. 2 years later started the guitar. Picked up along the way electric bass, upright bass, ukulele , mandolin , banjo, basic piano and learning accordion. All middle and high school was in the orchestra. Graduated 2009, then attended Lone-star for 2 years taking music classes. I was in a band for about 3 years. We did some events, but then I decide to leave. Occasionally I still perform with a family band with my cousin for events or parties. Recently I've joined a new group. I work at All about music and arts for 6 years now. I play all sorts of styles, anything from classic, 20's till now. I like finding new area of music and challenge myself. I don't limit myself musically.
EXPERIENCE
I've been teaching steady for 6 years now at All about music and arts. I've had several students through the years; young and older. From students who are new to music (starting from zero). Some who been playing for years and who wants to expand or understand how music theory can benefit them. I know that that the concept of theory may seems daunting and difficult. However I find it really depends on how you explain it.
METHODS USED
I teach each student different. Depending on the students level, pace , knowledge, strength, abilities , determination and goals. All students will have a understanding of scales, rhythm, chords and progressions . Each one of these will breakdown to their own sub-groups. With them expanding as the student progresses . Once they have a good understanding, we'll going into songs. This is where I show how music and songs are structured. Also at this stage I start introducing music theory; which I believe is an importance. All students will have at least a basic introduction to music theory. At the end I want the students to always be engaged, wanting to expand their skills and knowledge.
LESSON STYLE
I don't not use practice/lesson books. Unless the student wants to use it , I don't insist. I approach each student differently . I take it at their speed. I structure everything on what each student wants for themselves. Through lesson I also add new way to help, or advance them to or above their goals.

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
