Overview:
I am into my senior year in college as a music major and I’m looking to work with as many talented musicians as I can. I also have a small independent record label called Forever Records Inc. I also am available to do music videos for all of your singles and albums projects. With that being said I also offer studio time for the same price as my lessons. I am excited and anxious to schedule all of your musical needs.I also recommend that all my students/clients schedule a minimum of two lessons a week so that practice time in between can really be beneficial
EXPERIENCE
I have been working out of my record studio since 2013 but I have been recording since 2004. I have also served as the assistant band director at midfield high. Giving rudimentary lessons to the drummers and working on the theory and range with the upper brass was one of the many jobs that I was assigned to as assistant director. I have worked with middle school high school colleges and clients who just wanted to record or get better. I give singing lessons to most clients who don’t have a voice coach when they come in to record a album or single project.
METHODS USED
My philosophy on how I teach is similar to the technics I learned during my undergraduate studies. I believe in letting the students learn the best way they can and how ever they feel more comfortable learning. With that being said I only want to enhance what they know not make them like me or every one else. Music is a art form as well as a true discipline thus I want to encourage consistency but most of all I want to stress artistry. Every one is different and so every one has different ways that they learn. My true objective is to unlock how each client/ artist learns best and to help them reach their full potential
LESSON STYLE
My approach to teaching is something that I take very serious. I believe in being the best not being number #1. I love music and want to work with musicians who want to get better and take their music endeavors to the next level. One of my teachers at Jackson State University told us that as a musician you are supposed to get better as the years go by and as you get older you become even stronger if it’s vocals or instrumentals. Those words by The chairman of the music department have stayed with me ever since.
