I am a professional violinist who has been gifted in playing since I was 4 years old. Although I progressed quickly in the Suzuki Method and attended the advanced orchestra at Orange County High School of the Arts, at a young age I knew that there was more for me than the standard violinist and it has led me to perform worldwide with bands and performers of all kinds. I have played on all kinds of stages and for many events and see that my desires to play for more than just orchestra is being fulfilled now! This is why I love teaching a broader spectrum of music including pop songs and ear training, to equip many kinds of violinists in today's culture and bring violin into modern music as well as classically training students to allow them to pursue violin in any way they choose. I still currently travel worldwide to play my violin in many different places but at home, I have found joy in teaching my greatest passion to kids and adults of all ages, and that is why I have been teaching for the past few years and continuing to grow my cliental in Orange County. I want to share my gift and love for music with others and believe that teaching is a place for me to always be learning how to be a better teacher fitting each student to their unique abilities.
I began teaching lessons 4 years ago when I decided to set foot on my career path of choice. I knew teaching violin would always become my career but didn't know quite how I would get there, and here I am 4 years later still pursuing it every day more passionately and purposefully than I have before. I started with posting substitute or private lessons online and got so many great job offers, and from then on I have advertised in schools and local music studios to bring in more clients. Since then, my current level of students ranges from beginner to intermediate to advanced and I have enjoyed bringing in more creative writing students.
I specialize in teaching classical Suzuki method, however, my teaching skills are broad. Starting from beginner level students and teaching them technicalities and specifics of classical violin to teaching students of any age creative writing and spontaneous playing. I also specialize in creative pop song writing and alternative recording. This includes training students who see themselves pursuing playing violin for bands and in more diverse musical cultures. I train everyone with at least a basic skill set and understanding of classical violin and sight reading, then allow them to choose if they want to stick with classical violin or dive into ear training and creative writing.
I have experience teaching in many facets. I began working with kids as a full-time nanny and then went into teaching in a Kindergarten classroom, and proceeded to teaching music for all ages. I am very intuitive and experienced with seeing where a student is at, meeting their needs as a teacher and student individually first, and then growing them into a musician from there. It is important to me that each family knows I care about them as people and as my students. My goal and desire first and foremost is to see the next generation thriving in integrity and intentionality, and then bringing the gift of joy and music into their lives. I hope that every student leaves every lesson knowing that whether it was something hard or easy they learned, they are capable of accomplishing more than they ever thought they could through hard work and encouragement!
