Margaret Pardee was one of my notable teachers when I studied at Juilliard as a Fulbright scholar. Miss Pardee was Ivan Galamian's assistant trough his teaching career. I hold a Doctoral Diploma from a National Conservatory in Italy where I learned the legendary tradition of the ITALIAN violin school: from Vivaldi to Viotti, from Viotti to Rolla, from Rolla to Paganini, from Paganini to Sivori, from Sivori to Serato and from Serato to Gulli. Also while studying with Kato Havas , I learned her method to manage the stage fright for string players. Among of many important teachers both in US and Italy I have studied with Giusto Cappone (left), the legendary principal violist of the Berliner Philharmoniker during the golden era of Herbert Von Karajan, and the world famous DGG recordings. I also studied at the Juilliard School with Karen Tuttle, William Primrose's assistant, and William Lincer, former principal violist of the New York Philharmonic. Both these teachers trained some of the best violists in the USA. I have also studied with Yuri Bashmet at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena (Italy) who is one of the most famous soloists in the world of the Russian School of Viola. During my career I have successfully won many orchestra auditions and trained many young professional players who now occupy positions in some of the best orchestras in Europe. Frequently I play ancient instruments like the Baroque Viola, the Viola d'Amore and the Medieval Viol. I also perform and coach in ancient styles of music.
