I am a passionate and hard working instructor who has a love for teaching music. I graduated from Musicians Institute with both an AA and BM for guitar performance. I have had the privilege to play with some of the greatest musicians in the industry due to the fact that I play and directed church bands for Victory Outreach and also Church Home. I have also played with a pop artist by the the name of Leila Pari who has had multiple top chart hits. Lastly i have also had the privilege to play in many musicals which have given me a lot of experience to approach music in a very unique styles.
My teaching experience started by teaching private lessons in my personal studio to students and have been doing so for the past 4 years. Always encouraging my students to be determined in their studies, always reminding them to have FUN! I also expanded my teaching to an after school program L.A.C.E.R for Hollywood High school, where I taught both Rock Band and Marching Band. Through all this teaching experience I have learned how to adapt to any kind of student wether is on a private setting or a big group setting. The most important part is to make sure the student has fun and is progressing on his/her instrument.
My teaching methods consist of interactive learning, like making sure the student is always the main focus not just listening but also hands on. So for beginners we would being by learning the basic and fundamentals of your instrument and theory while building up a repertoire of your favorite songs. For more advanced students we will dive in deeper into Harmony and Theory, Ear Training and Technique. No matter what level or age I like to give each student a couple of pieces so by the end of a couple of months they could perform them in front of their family.
My teaching style is very energetic always trying to be hands on, making sure the student is applying everything he/she is learning to their everyday life. I am a very patient instructor that adapts to every unique students pace. Always very positive making sure my students are always having fun, It fills me with joy seeing my students learn and get better at their instrument. I will always push you to strive for greatness but I will also be there to help you along the way, music is something that connects us all and its a true pleasure for me to get to teach it.
