Carrie W. is a delightful, energetic, engaging teacher. Our 11 year old daughter looked forward to her lessons each week. Even when she was corrected about hand position, fingering, or the counting of notes, Carrie would say what needed to be changed, then be off again to something positive and encouraging. Every lesson was a positive experience. Her personality is affable and warm, and I enjoyed the lessons as much as my daughter did.

I am one of the 60 year old students that Carrie mentioned above. My wife and I were her students while she was in college and working to pay her bills. We used a book for adults and Carrie was very caring and patient. Some of my lessons were supervised practice as Carrie called it.

Mrs. Carrie W. is a fantastic teacher! She makes concepts simple and understandable and encourages you all along the way. In the past 3 years or so she has equipped me with the ability to plays hymns for congregational singing AND - more recently - the ability to write my own hymn arrangements!

Carrie is teaching my daughter, 7, piano and myself, 31, guitar. We live far from her but she has made music lessons easy for our family by doing them over Skype. She is a very encouraging teacher and pays attention to detail. She moves along at a pace that is best for the student and takes time to work with them on important issues before moving onto new concepts. She makes it fun and extremely practical by finding music that will be used by the student in "real" life. I would highly recommend Carrie as a music teacher. She knows how to work with children to keep them interested and involved while also having fun. And, personally, in my music lessons, I've been so pleased with how much I've learned (with little music knowledge) in such a short time.
