I am a Singer and motivated instructor who loves to perform and share my knowledge and experience with my student. I have sung in Opera and Folk venues which gave me a vast experience as a Singer and Musician. I have had the opportunity to perform with local artists and performers from other countries like Luciano Pavarotti at the opening of the Fischer Theater in Michigan and Andrea Bocelli Concert at the Bank Atlantic Center, in Florida 2014.
Performing in different venues and styles is my passion, and teaching is one the most beautiful experiences I have had.I have been teaching for almost 15 years since my college days. I am very enthusiastic about inspiring my students to follow their dream and passion, wheather it be singing Classical or another style. I encourage them to work on the Voice as a unique instrument and choose the repertoire that most fits with their needs.
I have thought through the years to students of all ages, from 6 years old singers to adult professionals. The repertoire and styles change according to the students needs, but the common denominator is everyone finding their voice to express their real self. With all students I work on becoming aware of the Voice as the unique instrument that it is. I will teach them to listen, creating excercises to develop their creativity as they explore their own Voice as a unique instrument and tool. Half an hour is dedicated to developement and vocalization, then we work on repertoire that we would choose together, including improvisation excercises in which I play and sing a tune and they sing it back as it is or with added melismas or notes as they hear it. It is fun and gives them opportunity to build confidence as they develop their creativity.
I design my voice lessons to include the most important element, which is to develop the Voice as a unique instrument, physically and spiritually. I consider the specific needs and situation of the student, what they would like to take away from their lesson, a specific repertoire, and challenges each student might have. It is such a joy when the student accomplishes some goal in their practice, even if it is little. As they notice their improvement it inspires us both in continuing the journey.
