I am mostly self taught with over 20 years experience. No music degrees but I do have BFA from EMU.
Overview:
I am a performing /recording artist based out of Plymouth michigan. I have been involved with the guitar and bass for over 20 years, playing with others locally. I am a patient and passionate teacher capable of teaching all levels. i am currently involved in an unplugged project where I cover everything from old blues and rock to current country and grunge
EXPERIENCE
I've been involved with musika for about 3 years and I absolutely love it!
METHODS USED
I start with the string names on the instrument for standard tuning and some basic chords. I think it is crucial to grasp the chromatic scale as it relates to the fret board. From there, it's into the great wide open!! I always look for feedback from the student as to what songs or styles they want to tackle. After all, I want you to get your money's worth because it's your dime and I'm here for you!!
LESSON STYLE
I will patiently and thoroughly teach you at a pace where you are comfortable. Again it's your time and money too, so I want thd experience to be rewarding and fun! I say when it stops being fun, something is wrong!
