Overview:
I am a natural talent individual and a long time singer, musician, pop music fan, 1982 when I was in high school age, my parent brought a piano brand name is Baldwin.
From 1982 to 1989, I started to take piano classes in the college and piano lessons at the music store.
I love to share with each of my students, years of study and privately teach piano experiences.
Also, I am a singer, songwriter, musician, retail sales associate in the department stores, data entry clerk, adult educator ( I teach typing, Microsoft power point and Microsoft word)
EXPERIENCE
I always want to be more into the music business, I play and sing at the piano bar, Christmas party,
-Also, Last Christmas I was hired as an independent contractor. -I am a pianist rehearsal with of Christmas Carolers for their live performances at various of charity fund raising events, and church, Christmas party.-
When I am not busy with perform, and when I am not working, I try to create a job for myself, that is be a music educator, teach piano and music theory.
For 16 years teach piano experience
I teach piano, usually at student's home, combination of classical and modern music can go alone way to helping students enjoy the piano lessons , motivate them to practice and continue to learn piano.
METHODS USED
Students who are in the beginning level
, I teach read the music theory, time signatures, sharps, flats, natural sign, melodic and harmonic intervals, chords, chord progression
and assign a song or two song for students to practice , this type of exercise are help his/ her fingers getting familiar on the piano/keyboard.
Students who are in the intermediate level, bring a song that you need to work on, when I teach intermediate level piano , I usually pick up classical song to teach intermediate level piano students.
LESSON STYLE
I feel joy to see students serious about study piano and I feel more gladness to see students progress.
But sometimes teaching style it depends on student's preference, learning ability,learning speed. -
To know where to start teach, in each beginning of piano lesson, student take few minutes quiz, this is for me as a piano teacher know what students need to work on the piano keyboard
-By end of the piano lesson, to make student progress play piano, I will assign two songs for students practice at their leisure time
