My name is Coralie, I'm a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with new students and sharing my love for music. I graduated from Musicians Institute in March 2018, I've done the Associate of Arts in Drum Performance and also received the award of Outstanding Student. I always been in bands and played live. With my current band, Tarah Who?, I had the chance to record in studio the new EP,and be abled to tour the West and the East Coast, which was amazing !! I'm excited to share my experiences with my students and give them everything that I can.
It will actually be my first experience at teaching. I'm glad to have chosen Musika for this new experience and can't wait to teach new students what I learnt from my own teachers. I want to transmit my knowledge in drums the best I could and make it fun for everybody. I will make the lesson about the student and what he/she likes and go from there. At the end of the lesson, I just want the student to have learnt new things in a enjoyable way and hope that it will make him/her wants to play and learn more about the instrument.
I will begin with what the student is interested in, work with songs or genres that they like and go from there. I will always make it fun and engaging no matter their ability level. I will teach with some of the Agostini's books for every level, and some books that I used in school. We will learn, develop rudiments, grooves, concepts ideas, independance together and make it fun. It will be an exchange between me and the student about music, the instrument, his/her experience and mine, everything that I can help with and make it enjoyable.
The best thing in teaching is to see your students develop a passion for music, I cannot wait to do that and see the result. Be able to transmit your knowledge to someone that love it as same as you is just incredible !! As my teachers taught me, it's really important that each student progresses at his/her own pace. That is why I will begin to teach my students with the style of music, songs that they like and go from there. I think it's really interesting to do that and we all learn new things everyday !! My lessons will be an exchange of experience, tips and music of course !!
