I am a dedicated and thorough teacher who believes in every student, no matter what age or skill level! Music has been my passion since I was a child and it's at the core of everything that I am. Apart from teaching, I am also an accomplished performer, songwriter and producer. I'm always searching for the song in every moment andevery situation. I believe that's what makes me better each day. I love what it is that I do and find fulfillment in watching the continued success of each and every one of my students.
I started taking private Piano Lessons at 8 years old and I have over 12 years of professional experience teaching both Piano and Voice. I am skilled in both reading sheet music and playing by ear. I am also fluent in multiple genres of music ranging from Classical to Gospel, Pop to R&B and so on. That gift has taken me through many doors and has given me access to a number of great enviorments across the country. I believe in lessons being fun and fruitful! I expect and encourage students to practice consistently so that they can reach and accomplish new heights with every lesson.
I like to take time with each of my students and discover the way that they learn. One of my strengths is being able to come up with new ways to explain a particular thing. I'm always thinking of new ways to get through to each student and I don't give up on them. I always try to provide a comfortable space for my students to learn in a stress free way. I'll sometimes use different methods such as Flashcards, Games and Worksheets with the understanding that lesson books can sometimes be ineffective with certain students.
I believe in promoting the things that make each student unique! I like to push my students to strive for new goals and achievements while also making sure that they remain self reliant. Self-reliance is going to be what carries each and every student throughout the course of their career with music. Being able to push and motivate themselves and hold themselves accountable when faced with different challenges are things I like to encourage in all of my students. It's a skill that will demand success each and every time.

Cory has been outstanding with his patience, encouragement and passion in using his skill with Dominic! Dom has fine motor skill challenges due to his degenerative condition called Mitochondrial Disease. Take piano lessons was a scary idea for him as he was worried about his disability again.
