Over 20 years as a professional musician. Studio musician,recording sound tracts in movies and TV variety shows in Hollywood, Ca. I completed 6 years studing The Mel Bay Method of learnig music. Many years playing with fabulous musicians, in groups and in the studio.

Overview:
I started playing guitar at age 5. I have found out that dreams can come true in music. My experiences playing guitar and bass have opened doors I could never imagined and all my dreams came true. I have had the thrill of being successful as a teen, playing lead guitar for 8 years in the St. Louis area. Moving to L.A. the group I was in made a guest appearance on The Merv Griffen Show, and being a studio musician, recording sound tracks for T.V. variety shows, films, The MGM Studios, AND THE THRILL OF PLAYING WITH FABOULIS MUSICIANS. I love both instruments guitar and bass.I am a 3rd generation guitar player.A book is written about the first 30 years of my life called "From Rock to Rock of Ages", in it's 2nd printing, publisher is Pacific Press. My father played on the Grand Ol Opry , including his own weekly radio show, in the St. Louis area,since I can remember, music has been my life. I want to share my experience with you so you can discover that your dreams can come true as my dreams did.
EXPERIENCE
My life is about music. I started playing guitar at age 5 years old. Began learning to read music at age 7 yrs. By the time I was 12, I joined the musician's union, playing lead guitar in my 1st group, in the St. Louis area for the next 8 years. Moved to Hollywood, Ca.. to further my life as a musician ,soon playing bass and played on TV shows such as The Merv Griffen Show, and other T.V. shows, recorded 2 sound tracks in films and played on the" World Famous Sunset Strip" for several years and touring across the country. I changed direction and my life style, for the next 30 years playing in praise and worship ministries, in some of the largest churches in American and locally..... playing guitar and bass. My approach is very simple.....Dream....... and study your instrument, and you too can make your dreams come true what ever your dream is in music.My approach and style with my students is, more of application. One approach is,building a strong foundation by learning how to read music or if you chose, to learn how to improve your "ear" and read charts. Regardless of age to even having challanges, find out that you can fall in love playing the guitar or bass guitar. If I can make my dreams come true , you can make your dreams come true and have alot of fun doing it. What more could you want???
METHODS USED
To inspire.... beginning with the 1st lesson by showing you how to play a song. . I want you to fall in love with your guitar or bass. I usually begin by using The Mel Bay approach in learning how to read music and learning the application of chords. Bass guitar, is a different approach. Learning patterns and understanding the importance of listening and establish "the groove". Regardless of the style of music you enjoy we will have a great time learning how to apply the music you enjoy with your guitar or bass. My job as a teacher is to help you build a strong foundation, develope skills and get you to a level so you can enjoy the rest of your journey in music on your own. Either by playing in a group,for your on enjoyment, or to play with other great musicians. It's that simple
LESSON STYLE
I enjoy the thrill of watching the spark ignite....... thats what I call it .....when the love of playing your guitar or bass happens. I have taught guitar and bass for many years, and today, I have the honor when my previous students have become successful musicians and some are now teaching others, and making their dreams come true, as I did,when I began playing the guitar .....that is satifaction and a job well done. Experience is everything, the thrill of hearing my students become great musicians and become better than I am. To inspire, is my goal.
