I am passionate and have love for music especially playing the drums and teaching others how to play. I graduated from CUNY York College
Bachelor of Arts, Liberal Arts in June 2017. I am the Sound Director/Lead Drummer at the Bethelite Institutional Baptist Church from September 2004 to present. Employ attention to detail to deliver quality performances.
- Arrange appropriate music selections for church services alongside pastor and other delegates. Travel to various churches to implement and develop musical organizations for concert productions.
EXPERIENCE
Experienced professional in the area of community, youth, and adult services. 10+ years of musical and drumming expertise with a focus on group and private lesson tutoring. - Conduct drumming lessons for 20 or more students.
- Collaborate with orchestras and other music ensembles to arrange music performances. I’m always looking to teach new students as much as I can.
METHODS USED
For students I will show other people around their age playing the drums and after that I will show them the fundamentals of making a beat and staying on beat. Once students have the fundamentals together then we would play songs that they like and find interesting in and we would play those songs by ear. No matter what level they are in. Not only do I want them to learn something but I also want them to have fun doing it as well too. I would introduce songs that they like and want to play for their first performance. I want them to gain as much as they can from my teaching
LESSON STYLE
It is a wonderful thing to see students having a passion for music. Each student will develop the way that they want to. Each lesson I want my students accomplish as much as they can from my teachings. Once students accomplish something they would want to learn more from me. I would also take some of their wants and needs and implicate that into my teaching. implement and develop musical organizations for concert productions. Let them listen to songs that they would like and want to play and let them play it by ear.
