My teaching experience dates back when i was just in kindergarten. I was always the one to teach all the kids in the class everything. It continued in my life as i got older. Teaching has always been within me. I love seeing other progress within there self. My teaching style is mostly hands on techniques. I'm always looking to bring new students of all ages to teach. I also work with composing and reading sheet music. My main job will be to focus on my students to bring the best ability they can be.
For beginning students who are children, I typically start with note naming and sound. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. My goal in my method is to get my students fluent in playing the piano and knowing the methods of piano.
Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. By trying to find out what inspires the students, I can successfully tailor my instruction to their wants and needs. Bring positive energy to each teaching session.
