Overview:
I am a passionate and innovative instructor who loves working with students! I live and breathe music. I have performed across the country and numerous venues. I have also own my own entertainment company called Evolution Entertainment Group. I have a BA in Music business and would love to bring my expertise and experience into my lessons. With my various live performances, I love to incorporate creativity and innovation when I teach students. I am very passionate when it comes to vocal performance.
EXPERIENCE
My teaching experience dates back to when I was volunteering at my church around five years ago at their youth outreach program. This led to another passion teacher others the art of vocal performance. Since then, I have consistently taught students of various ages and diverse backgrounds not only in Illinois but in Georgia, LA and Texas. I love to make my lessons fun and exciting while making sure my students learn all they need to know when comes to live vocal performance. I also help my students develop and create their own songs to build up their songwriting skills.
METHODS USED
Not one lesson is the same. I cater each lesson to the student. Every student is different and have a different learning style! With my first lesson, I love to sit down down with the student and/or the parent and to discuss expectations and get to know the student. I also determine what level they are at so I know where we need to begin.
Every student has their own unique experience. I listen to the student to see what his or her goals are and we both work on the goals together! I believe teamwork makes the dream work!
LESSON STYLE
Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. By trying to find out what inspires the student, I can successfully tailor my instructor to their wants and needs. I love to make the student comfortable!
