Overview:
I'm a patient and motivated instructor that strives to grow the knowledge and musicianship to musicians of all ages to assure their highest achievement in the performing arts. I graduated from Pfeiffer University with a Bachelor of Arts in K-12 Music Education with applied Percussion studies in 2005. During my time there our Wind and Jazz Ensembles received national attention performing at copious venues across the country.
EXPERIENCE
I began teaching privately and working with area high school marching bands during college in 2002. After graduation, I taught public school before transitioning to another job in the music industry. I've continued to teach privately in my church studio and students homes for the past 7 and a half years. Regular practice and lesson consistency shows how fast students can progress. My biggest goal is to assure my students the excitement when playing their instrument.
METHODS USED
Students will vary but using an approach based on age and skill level will give me a great start in preparing to teach my students. Also knowing what my students are interested in such as favorite genres or bands keep the lessons engaging and fun.
LESSON STYLE
It's very rewarding and exciting to see students excel in the performing arts and grow a love for music. Setting goals, paces and challenges are key concepts for my students at each lesson. Positive reinforcement also helps motivate a students desire to learn more. Adapting to those key factors allows me to teach my students successfully.

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
