Hello, my passionate performers! My name is Eliana Feldman. I was born in Boston, raised in South Florida. I am currently located in Valdosta, GA. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Musical Theatre from Valdosta State University. I have been performing for over ten years and teaching for about three years. I have experience in musical theatre, pop, jazz, pop-rock and Golden Age Broadway. I am so excited to get the chance to watch people find a love for their voice or continue to discover new things! I welcome kids nine years or older and young adults. I’m available for travel, as well.

EXPERIENCE

Although I would generally be considered new to teaching, considering I just graduated from college, I have several years of experience that I am able to utilize while teaching. After all, experience is the best form of learning and growing. I have studied under many well-known vocal coaches who have decades of experience: Broadway performer and Tony Nominee Jenn Colella; Broadway performer Janine Divita; Broadway performer Natalie Weiss; South florida acclaimed Caryn Rae Robin; My college professors, classically trained Dr. Dorea Cook & most recently my Musical Theatre professor Joseph Mason, MFA. Under all of these wonderful teachers and vocalists I studied many different genres: pop, pop-rock, jazz, golden age, classical musical theatre, contemporary musical theatre and many more.

METHODS USED

For beginning students who are children, I really like to focus on technique. From experience, I know that the voice changes as we grow, so I find it extremely important to be able to make sure my students have the grasp of proper technique and breath-technique. With this, as their voice changes and develops, they will find it much easier to grasp how to control it properly. For beginner, intermediate and advanced students, no matter what age, I also like to develop a personalized plan of what works best for their voice and style. Technique is my biggest objective. If you do not have good technique, your voice will not progress. That is what is most important to me. We work from there.

LESSON STYLE

I am a huge fan of setting goals. Not only for the performance that my student may be preparing for, but for the future, as well. During the first lesson, I like to sit down with my student and develop a plan for what they would like to achieve. Want a stronger belt? We can work on that. Want to learn how to control your breath? We can work on that. I am up for any challenge. Although I have a degree in this field, I am always open for learning, too! My students are able to teach me things every lesson and that is what I look forward to. I'm dedicated to watching my students develop a passion for their craft that is unbreakable.
