I am an indie-pop singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. I have received a degree from Utah State University, and have been teaching lessons since 2014. All my knowledge is available to my students I have skills in cello, singing/songwriting, ukulele, singing, guitar, and piano. My students benefit from my comprehensive understanding of these instruments, allowing them to explore their own artistic potential. With a commitment to fostering creativity and technique, I guide my students on their musical journeys, helping them unlock their true potential.
I created curriculum and taught over 200 group music classes at a summer camp. I worked with kids as an assistant teacher at Mountain West String Academy. As a continuous learner, I've attended over a dozen songwriting music conferences and cello masterclasses. Additionally, I have completed my music teaching training program at Songsmith Studio. Throughout my teaching journey, I have had the privilege of witnessing the growth and development of countless students. It brings me immense joy to witness their passion for music blossom under my guidance.
As a dedicated cello instructor, I implement the renowned Suzuki method as the foundation of my teaching approach. With years of experience and a passion for nurturing young musicians, I firmly believe in tailoring my lessons to meet the unique needs and aspirations of each of my cello students. When it comes to customizing my lessons, I take into account various factors, including the age, skill level, learning style, and goals of each individual student. By understanding their specific strengths and areas for improvement, I can design lesson plans that engage and challenge them at an appropriate level.
My teaching style is characterized by patience, support, constructive feedback, and ample playing time. I believe in tailoring my approach to accommodate individual learning styles and paces, fostering a positive and encouraging environment. I provide specific and actionable feedback to help students improve. In addition, I strive to create a well-rounded learning experience by integrating technology and multimedia resources into my lessons. I understand the importance of adaptability and continuously seek new methods and materials to enhance the educational journey.
