Overview:
Eric Letta is saxophonist, clarinetist, composer, recording artist, and teacher. His roots are deeply grounded in the traditions of jazz, but his exciting and creative style incorporates all genres, such as r&b, funk, and modern bop. A native of Akron, Ohio, he was a member of the Ohio All-State Jazz Ensemble before earning a degree from Kent State University. He spent the first ten years of his musical career playing in jazz and show bands around the Midwest. In 2006, he released his first full-length album entitled “Say.” Now living Los Angeles, Eric performs and records with numerous jazz, rock, blues, cabaret, Latin, and big-bands around town. He has been a member of the Disneyland Band for the past four years and is also a member of Griff Hamlin and the Single Barrel Blues Band, whose first album was released this year.
EXPERIENCE
After studying under some amazing private teachers, I started teaching saxophone and clarinet when I was in High School. Since then, I have taught hundreds of students of all ages and skill levels privately and in conjunction with music institutions. I was the manager of Educator's Music in Twinsburg, Ohio for 3 years. After moving to California, I continued teaching private lessons through Musika and other online services. I have over 20 years of professional performing and teaching experience.
