I'm new to teaching guitar but I am committed to providing lessons that will not only show students the technical aspects of guitar but also inspire creativity and show students the joy of playing guitar. I have playing for 25 years and am extremely knowledgeable in everything music and especially guitar. I am familiar with all sorts of music, have played in bands, and now write my own songs. I studied guitar in college, from which I have an associate's degree in music, and will have a lesson plan that will get you playing guitar and creating music.
I am new to the guitar teaching game, but I will provide an effective and fun lesson plan. I have had various guitar teachers in my earlier days and have a very good understanding of what works for teaching students guitar. If you give me the opportunity, I will prove that I am probably better than most of the teachers with years of experience. I started playing music on trumpet and had many achievements on that, but fell in love with the guitar and am extremely passionate about passing on my knowledge of music and the guitar to students who want to learn.
I will provide students with diagrams on what is called guitar tablature, which is the easiest way to read music for guitar, for various chords and scales. Students will be able to play songs and guitar riffs by their favorite bands as well as create their own music and even create their own guitar solos and improvise over chords. I can teach students songs they want to learn as well provide music for songs that will help them learn chords and guitar riffs. If you want me to sing the songs we learn, I have a pretty darn good singing voice too.
My teaching style will be designed to inspire my students. I am extremely knowledgeable in music theory and all the technical aspects of playing guitar, but I also want it to be a very creative and fun process. There is discipline involved in learning guitar, but I am prepared to teach guitar in way that will motivate students to work hard and be getting better at playing but that is also fun and relaxing. The possibilities of what you can do on the guitar are literally limitless, and I will really try to provide each student with lessons that will provide them with the opportunity to get the most out of what they want to learn to do with the instrument.
