I began my musical studies when I was 6 years old. At the age of 10 I was already able to play with tremendous fluency different instruments, but I focused mainly on piano, guitar, voice and electric bass. When I was 14 years old, I got interested in Jazz, Tango and classical music so I started playing the upright bass because it is an essential instrument in these styles of music. After finishing high school, I was already a musician with excellent skills in many different instruments and with a huge understanding of music. At 17 years old I embarked on a professional career while attending Escuela de Música Contemporanea (EMC) - Berklee International Network (BIN) - where I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music. While finishing my studies at EMC – BIN, I won a fierce national competition to study in the prestigious Jazz – Degree of Manuel de Falla Conservatory. This institution is known for being the cradle of the music stars of the future. I graduated there with honors. For many years now, I have been consistently and uninterruptedly working at the highest level of music in South America. Mainly as a guitarist and electric bass player, but also as music arranger, composer and educator. I have achieved widespread recognition throughout South America, working consistently at the highest levels of music in Argentina. That is why I was granted in 2023 with an O1 visa to work in the United States. This is an extraordinary kind of U.S. visa only reserved to persons with unique skills.
Ever since I was young, I was also very interested and focused in teaching. After doing so for many years I am now one of the most respected musical educators in Buenos Aires. At the age of 17, while studying my bachelor, I began teaching guitar and electric bass in my own studio at home. I also started teaching some short courses about musical theory and harmony, destined for all kinds of instrumentalists. My last teaching project in Argentina, before arriving to New York (and which was a complete success), was the coordination of musical ensembles for children. In these classes I taught groups of 10 kids different instruments musical styles and provide them with tools so they were able to play in group.
In the first lessons with beginning students I always try to focus in having a good time doing music and not geting frustrated quickly. Music is not an esay thing when we start to learning it and for sure that students are going to have difficulties at the beginning. But, if they are conected with the enjoyment, they are going to overcome obstacles more easily. For advanced students, I divide the lesson in two parts: technique on the instrument and repertorire. I prepare my students to get all the skills to be able to perform live music.
I definitely believe in realistic goals and I think one of the most important things during learning is that my students properly know what they have to do to be prepare for the next lessons and to achieve the current goal! I also really encourage my students in having a daily and enjoayble instrument practice. I am sure that doing at least 30 minutes technique exercises every day is the best way to feel comfortable with our instrument quickly. I also think that nowadays students usually try to learn music styles that the may not really listen to, It is important to be familiar with the kind of music we are learning,
