I attended college at Houston Baptist University where I received a full scholarship to study music. Once I graduated I was immediately hired to do a national tour which was followed by 5 others. I perform on Broadway also. I was in 22 performances at Theater Under the Stars in Houston. I was then on television's Star Search and won. I started learning about music and music theory since the 5th grade. I have fine toothed my craft and now am a consummate musician. I most recently worked for TUTS teaching music theory.

I teach piano classically by reading music and patterns. As we progress, sometimes the student gets disinterested. At that point, I introduce the chord method as well as the number system- having them play certain progressions as I prompt them to play. My teaching technique for vocal students are as follows: I find out what their forte is vocally and find out what key they sing a particular song in. I then teach them how to find a key they would sing a certain song in. My goal is to keep them playing or singing no matter what.
