My musical background consist on teaching students more than playing piano, but educating them on music. It is important to give the students the opportunity to be great at what they like doing. I would advise my students to practice every single day for at least one to two hours and also I would prepare a recital piece for them to see how well they’ve learned. I’ve been teaching music for five years and playing music for almost 12 years it’s been a great experience. I’ve also played in recitals.
I love to teach because giving students a chance at music excites the brain, and it helps them function well in society. Teaching music is healthy for the mind, body and soul. It requires a lot of practice and focus. Anybody could learn music, but being dedicated is a different story and I help to develop dedication for the students. Being committed to something and striving for what you love to do is what music is all about it’s a beauty in music and I love music. My dream is to be able to teach as many people as I can, and change their life with the passion of music, music creates perseverance, excitement, dedication, and commitment. There is also a joy that comes with playing music, and it’s a fire that never burns out.
I will teach children and adults beginner lessons only. I to start off identifying music notation, clapping, and counting notes. Getting students to a certain level to where they are more confident in their abilities is the goal want to set. When you learn music you will get better at math and solving all kinds of problems because counting and clapping notes is a big deal in music. It also teaching rhythm and discipline. I would advise students to stay dedicated and practice at least 1 or 2 hours everyday.
I Love teaching with a passion. Playing music and teaching is a reflection of who I am as an individual. I Love it when students want to learn everything there is to know about music. Music builds trust because once you master your craft you can trust your fingers to hit the right notes. Music also builds confidence and communication skills. I Love solving problems so whenever I start learning a new song it’s like trying to solve a problem or figuring out a puzzle piece. It may get rocky at times but when you solve it, it’s all worth it.
