I am a highly accomplished contemporary guitarist and music teacher. I have extensive knowledge and experience in music. My critically acclaimed recordings have been nominated for music awards by grammy winning artists. My music publishing company is one of the highest rated providers of music lessons and entertainment in the region. I have performed at The Duquesne University School of Music, and at The Carnegie Mellon Museum, I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.A, in the humanities with a music minor. I have studied with world's finest classical and jazz, and rock guiatrists.
One of my first jobs was teaching electric guitar. I love guitar and I love music. When I teach, my students have fun and learn quickly. My teaching style is casual, with an intensive focus on technique and theory, as well as the songs and music that my students want to learn. I have helped some students advance their own music career. By sharing my vast knowledge and experience, my students, through practice, advance quickly. My teaching and music publishing company received the honor of "Best of Guitar Lessons," 2014, 2015, by a popular search engine for guitar lessons, and I receive only the highest ratings from my clients.
I meet with students for an introductory lesson. We discuss their goals. I suggest method books, online learning tools, and other strategies that they can use while they study and practice. During lessons, we review songs, techniques, theory, and other concepts that they are studying and need to improve on. In my experience, by providing a custom lesson plan, students can improve in the areas that they want to learn. I also coach my students on how to practice. By setting reasonable and attainable goals and practice methods, students get results.
I love guitar, so, teaching guitar is just another expression of my passion for music. I develop a trusting, professional relationship with my students. I answer their questions, I listen to them, I understand that they are in a very important and challengning phase of their musical developmet and education. I value their input, efforts, knowledge, experience, and talent. As a matter of fact, I learn a great deal as a teacher from my students! I am there in a helpful, constructive and supporting role for my students.
