Overview:
One of my biggest passions in my career inside of the music industry is to share my experience and knowledge of the instrument with prospective students. I graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2012, with a Bachelor in Music dual Major in Contemporary Writing and Production and Performance Magna Cum Laude. Currently, I spend my time performing in the NYC area. It is really my desire to share my knowledge of the instrument with you, and help you to grow as a better musician.
EXPERIENCE
I started teaching private lessons back in the day when I was living in my country, the Dominican Republic. I had students of different ages and with different interests. Also, before I moved to the United States, I taught for almost a year in a private music school in my country. In that school, I had the opportunity to teach Drums to very young kids, and for me it was a great and fun experience to teach those kids back in those days.
METHODS USED
I really like to focus on developing four aspects of Drumming/Musicianship in order to help my students develop not only as a drummers, but as a complete musicians who have a complete command of the instrument. Those aspects are: reading, styles, development of technical ability and improvisation.
LESSON STYLE
I really like to work at the pace of my students, letting them to take time to digest the information that I give to them. My ultimate goal as a teacher is to help you develop not only as a drummer but as a complete musician. Everything I teach is focused on the ultimate goal of playing music and developing your technical ability with the instrument.
