Overview:

Good day ! I have been a musician. all of my life, started training in my early childhood. It's been a pleasure and a joy. I trained at Eastman Conservatory of Music o atthe University of Rochester, New York in the mid 80's. I also studied at Oral Roberts University, where I was preparing for a Performance Degree with an emphasis in Education. I have also taught sence 1990, both strings and piano. I have performed at various levels and in various platforms as well as worked with worship teams at my church congregations. Living in various states. I HAVE EXPERIENCE IN VARIOUS GENTRES OF MUSIC, INCLUDING. BUT NOT LIMITED TO. CHRISTIAN WORSHIP, CLASSICAL, ROCK,POP, LATIN RYMNS, BRAZILIAN, ITALIAN ART SONGS,BROADWAY, MY OWN ORIGINAL COMPOSTITONS, FOLK SONGS, R.nB, and more. I use various approaches to teaching piano and/or strings depending on the students level, goals and commitment level. EXPERIENCE

I begin teaching fine arts music in 1990. It was one of two jobs I had at the time. I worked for " Yje School of Gone Arts" in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma for a few years. Mrs Roger's and her daughter Thesa Loving owned and operated the nice school. I taught violin, cello, piano, voice and some drama. After my initial experience there. I was employed at " Newark Community School of the Arts" in Newark. N.J. We were part of a special collaboration between Rutgers University and the arts school. Outer specialized program was called, " Soweto" due to our team collaboration in Johannisburg, South Africa. I also worked there for numerous years as a substitute violin instructor for Doctor Younoski. I also worked in an Enrichment program at Bethal Christian Academy, in the afternoons after school, M-F. I taught a Youth In Arts program on the weekends at George Inness Junior High, which was sponsored by The Mount Claire Public School Systems. I taught class piano and violin here. The students excelled a d each if these opportunities lead led to enrichment in all.of our lives.

METHODS USED

I use Suziki Violin Method, Bastian for piano. I have also been developing my own method, and it's dependant in the students agenda. I encourage the building of reperatore early on. I have also used Liytle Einstein piano method and varies products produced by Hal Leonard. I find the students goals are very formative to the approach I choose to take. Sole students are doing the study for sheer personal enjoyment others are more serious and want to make a career out kf mus8c as they mature. I tend to direct most all.of.my students towards a certain level of excellence I skill, mus8c theory knowledge and also, sight reading. Ear training. Music appreciation and goal setting . It is my honor and pleasure to work with you !

LESSON STYLE

It's always a pleasure to see my students grow quickly amd steadily as they pursue their personal goals. Self discipline is a learned skill a d most grasp it easily. A love and passion for music. And an appreciation for various types of musical genres is something I also encourage. It is my hope and goal to help each and every student to find their own authentic musical voice. That may mean learning to co.pse originals or it may be their own expression of classics or other well known material in various genres of musician styles.
