Overview:
I am professional musician trained in Jazz and Classical music, specializing in Saxophone, Clarinet, Flute. • Actively performing and composing music rooted in jazz, rock, and free improvisation genres. • Studied piano at five; by age twelve, played clarinet in a semi-professional children's pop ensemble, and toured internationally with a jazz and improvisational band led by the legendary Vladimir Tchekassin.   • Fluent in English, German, Lithuanian, and Russian languages. I seamlessly connect with students of different cultural backgrounds, quickly find common points of interest, and encourage individual uniqueness. In my classroom, Taught over one hundred students in saxophone and clarinet.students make progress in a stress-free, creative, while goal-oriented environment!
EXPERIENCE
I have developed a teaching method that is efficient and creative, and is backed by over thirty years of professional performing experience. In the past fifteen years, I have taught continuously at several music schools in Germany. Now giving private lessons around New York and teaching at Music school of Westchester. I seamlessly connect with students of different cultural backgrounds, quickly find common points of interest, and encourage individual uniqueness. In my classroom, Taught over one hundred students in saxophone and clarinet.students make progress in a stress-free, creative, while goal-oriented environment!
METHODS USED
I am developed an individual, highly effective teaching approach, combining basic music statements, free improvisation, improvisation on given changes and rhythm, sight-reading, music theory, discovering and incorporating music from different cultures and epochs. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Hal Leonard's Essential Elements. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. For adults, i try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. )))
LESSON STYLE
I have developed a teaching method that is efficient and creative, and is backed by over thirty years of professional performing experience. In the past fifteen years, I have taught continuously at several music schools in Germany. In my classroom, I approach music lessons with uncompromising attention to the goals of my students, their abilities and style. While focused on rigorous study of instrumental technique and music theory, I believe that even the strongest students of music require constant motivation. I always look for an opportunity to encourage my students by stimulating their personal creativity and connecting the classroom learning to examples from my own professional performing experience.

Glen is very punctual and attentive during his lessons. He is very knowledgeable of the instrument and makes sure that I become acquainted with the same information. He models and makes lessons exciting.

My son started taking saxophone lessons with Gleb in April, 2016. He was at 6th grade at that point and was playing saxophone as a Music Elective in his Middle School. In October/November, 2016 my son auditioned for the Special Music High School playing saxophone and, as we learned in March, 2017, got accepted. My son did not have a privilege of parental help or support as far as musical education or experience goes, and he is not exactly a very purpose oriented type “A” achiever kind of boy. So he could only rely on Gleb’s help and effort. In a month or so, my son said that he likes working with Gleb and would like to prepare for upcoming auditions. This is when we decided that we have to intensify their practices. Starting from June, 2016 my son was taking 2-hour lesson with Gleb 3 times a week. Since, as I mentioned earlier, we could not help our son with composition selection for his auditions, I just printed the Audition requirements from High School’s website and Gleb suggested a selection and worked on them with my son. I would definitely recommend Gleb for your young musician. I believe that he knows what he is doing not only in terms of music, but he is definitely able to work and find a way with different kids, not only the best out of the best, which you would often hear from very well acclaimed teachers and tutors.

Gleb is very passionate and knowledgeable when it comes to music. I took music theory and composition lessons with him, and he's done great job explaining some fairly complicated matters in simple terms to me. Highly recommended to anyone, regardless your level of proficiency or age.

Gleb is a really good saxophone teacher, he is also nice and friendly. He teaches my son not just how to play with good technique and musicality but also how to improvise. My son has enjoyed learning the Saxophone with him this year.

Gleb has only been teaching my son the saxophone for 6 months and he's already playing solos at his school concerts. Gleb plays along with him to show him any mistakes he makes and shows him what's he's doing wrong. He's very knowledgeable in music theory and doesn't just know music, he feels the notes he plays. I'm very glad I found Gleb to be my son's saxophone teacher.

Gleb is a great professional practicing musician and an experienced skilled music teacher. I have been taking saxophone lessons with him as an adult for about half a year. I was amazed at the very beginning by his unique teaching style which definitely helped me overcome my fears and awkwardness. His energy and passion for music are igniting, the lessons are fun, they seem to flow on one breath leaving me feeling good about myself and wanting to do more. I watched Gleb teach kids too, and it was obvious that he gives them much more than just a quality tutorial; he plants very important habits in his students, teaching them to appreciate music, value time, and most importantly, work on their own. I would recommend Gleb to any student in a heartbeat.
