I'm a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love of music. I am doing my PHD in piano performance in UNT, and my related field is Piano Pedagogy. Teaching students is my future career, and I love to communicate with young kids or adult students. what i have said and done can really affect my students. And I am a open-minded teacher, and always willing to learn and make creative way to introduce new idea of music to my students.
On 2016 February 21st, I gave a piano recital in Dallas Library, Mu Phi Epsilon Concert Series I had the “fly from Shenzhen” Piano with Organ Recital in Shenzhen Concert hall, China in 2015 July. I had a piano recital “ UNT Thursday Night” at Denton Downtown Square in 2013 October I had several recitals in C.C.Young Senior Center in Dallas recent years 2012-2017 I had been a regular piano accompanist for school concerts in South China Normal University from 2005-2009. In the high school, I was piano accompanist in the choir, and participated in the Choir Olympics, the International Music Festival (Australia), the Choir Competition of Secondary School Art Festival (China). I have won gold or silver prizes as the piano accompanist and the lead singer of soprano in these events.
Teach students not only piano technique, but also music theory, harmony, and sight-reading. Prepare for recitals, festivals, competitions, college audition, music assessment.
Having piano lessons is like opening the door to a magic music journey. Hanmina, as an experienced teacher, would love to share the good time with every student, and also to pour the knowledge to develop their piano skills through simple and clear way. Based on the having fun in learning the music by playing the piano, she is good at adjusting the teaching method for students in different age and character by taking care of their feeling. Not only books, she also uses multi-media to motivate students’ interests in music and piano. Hanmina also has played by ear from her 4 years old because of her perfect pitch ability. Besides systematic and traditional piano teaching, she encourages students to do creation in learning the music.
