My love for teaching started around my sophomore year of high school. I used to be in marching band and I would always offer to help the people in my section with the music and find easier ways to play certain passages. Music has always been a joy in my life and I want to help students find that joy for themselves. In the Fall of 2021, I was the Saxophone and Clarinet Instructor for Northeastern High School marching band season and the Saxophone Instructor for Stebbins High School band camp. I perform with the top concert band at Wright State University the Wind Symphony. I also perform with the top Saxophone Quartet the Tempest Quartet at Wright State Univerisity where we have played at the Wright State Saxophone Festival, Ohio University, and were scheduled to play at the Navy band Symposium in Fairfax Virginia.

I usually start with asking what kind of music students would like to learn and go from there. For a student starting band at school, typically I start with the method book they are going to use and move on to the Rubank method book series. For adult beginners, I start with the Essential Elements book for Alto Saxophone to get a good understanding of notes and the basics of how to read music. From there we would move on to a different method book depending on what you would like to learn. I try to keep my lessons stress-free and fun because I believe that's the best way to learn.
