Overview:
I am a ambitious and passionate instructor all aspects of being a musician. Ive been a musician for all of my life. Music is all I know. Which is why I love the process of learning and seeing the process of my students getting better from what they used to be. I love seeing my students incorporate what they have been taught and express it while being themselves. I graduated from a arts high school with a music and regents diploma with a lot experience in music. I've performed for 3 years side by side with the buffalo Philharmonic, from there my career has rose and I entered into the Music Industry playing and opening up for many artist and bands and playing in front of many fans, Also going on tour around the globe.
EXPERIENCE
Ive started teaching when I was in high school. Most of my students were colleagues who wanted to learn the drums and percussion. One of my key points of teaching is technique. technique will make or break you. It affects your longevity and the rest of your body as well. I Think this will be Great for students because growing up I had to learn every thing by myself. I never knew a teacher who had experience or even took music seriously when I was younger. When I teach, I get down in the Nitty gritty of every aspect of music with fun teaching methods.
METHODS USED
For Every student I start the same. It all starts with technique. If you have a great technique you can play anything with practice! with my much experienced students I don't go too forward with technique but try to find their weakness in their technique to strengthen it. For the Beginners, after the technique we go into what to play. with my adult or more experienced musicians I find out what they are interested in then go from there. After I teach the style that they wanna play then I teach them how to incorporate it their own way.
LESSON STYLE
I love the process of learning and broadening their horizons. Nobody has the same process, its always different. which is even more exciting for me being apart of it. which is why I encourage people to always have goals. If you set goals and you strive for them you will always blow past them. I always Acknowledge accomplishments. That gives more fuel for the student to be more eager to learn more. I also try to find what inspires the student to play music then it'll go from there. Anybody can be a great musician you just have strive.
