Overview:

Hi, everyone! I'm a graduate from Gnesin Academy of Music, with Master's degree. As a concert performer (accordion and piano) I have quite a big experience which I'm trying to incorporate into my teaching practice. It is always a great pleasure to share my passion for music and art in general with anybody interested! I began my professional development in the Music College of Grodno, Belarus, where I studied under Sviatlana Keduk for four years (Graduated in 2010). I earned my Bachelor and Master's degree in classical music performance from Gnessin Russian Academy of Music, a highly respected and internationally recognised educational institution, where I studied under Prof. Yuri Sidorov (Graduated in 2015). As a concert performer on accordion and piano, I took part in various competitions and gave recitals performing (as a soloist and as an ensemble participant) on stages of some European countries, Belarus, Russia, Japan, USA and Canada. My teaching experience goes back to my college days, I began giving private lessons 7 years ago. For the last few years, I have been dedicating most of my time to teaching.

METHODS USED

I try to be as flexible as possible, many things would depend on the student's age and background. I pay a lot of attention to movement when playing the instrument, I try to do this from the lesson one with an absolute beginner. I consider knowing music theory to be important but secondary, so I try to familiarise my students (especially children) with the instrument from the very beginning keeping the amount of theoretical information minimal. With adults, I try to find out what are their preferences in music, what motivated them to start learning the instrument and what kind of music would motivate them to learn and practice most.

LESSON STYLE

I enjoy establishing a contact with another human being. I'm passionate about music and love sharing my passion. I find extremely rewarding to see my students progress and their appreciation for music grow. I'm always trying to reward the efforts they put into learning the instrument, always trying to be there to help overcome the difficulties. Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
