Overview:
Originally from New York, I have extensive experience in live performance and recording in NY, San Diego, and LA. I also did a month long tour of Japan. Music is my passion and I love to pass this wonderful asset on to aspiring students. Through fundamentals and essentials, this is achieved.
EXPERIENCE
I have over 25 years of teaching in group and private lessons in New York and San Diego. I have several decades of playing experience so I have experienced just about any situation. There is nothing more rewarding than to witness the eyes of an aspiring youth light up when inspired.
METHODS USED
I get students playing right away with simple beats and fills. This works well for inspiration. While doing this music theory is presented along with basic rudiments and exercises. This is all done with a relaxed and inspiring approach.
LESSON STYLE
Fundamentals and esssentials are important in music and all walks of life. This is implemented along with specific desires a student may have. These desires are combined with structure and theory so successis achieved. This can be a very pleasant process.
