I have been a musician (Trombone) since age eleven. Played in Jazz, Funk, Brass Band, Marching and Blues Bands. Here are a few my professional musician highlights: I played with the Cholla Charger Marching Band, University of Arizona Marching Band and Basketball Band, Miles Ahead Jazz ensemble (SF), Bay Area Swing All Stars (SF),North Beach Marching Band (SF), Swig House Band (SF), and the Brass Band Mission (SF) Played in New Orleans February 2013 & 2014 at the Chewbacchus Mardi Gras Parade. Honk Seattle 2014 Brass Band Mission opened for Kermit Ruffins July 2014. -Guest appearance with The Dirty Dozen Brass Band.
My Teaching experience goes back to my College experience at UofA (Arizona). I gave lessons to Elementry, High School and College students in Jazz, Blues, Brass Bands and Salsa music. I help with technique, passion for playing, fundamentals, music history, sight reading, sounds etc. I give them a higher appreciate for music, and Trombone while increase their personal growth and confidence.
I set up a program for each student. We go over: Warming up, breathing, techniques, scales, fundamentals, sight-reading, fun, soloing, pitch, sounds, trombone appreciation, and warming down etc Music Schedule for tutoring. I am opening during the holiday season from December 21- January 19, 2015 During the mornings, days and evenings.
I have both a strict and fun teaching style. I am strict about fundamentals, techniques, sight reading, breathing, scales, etc I am fun when it comes to soloing, freestyle, music appreciation, etc
