I have always had a passion to help others and to teach. I started to volunteer at an elementary school and help teach vocals for their musical theatre performance they were working on. It was a great experience to teach a group setting and see what each person needed and what would work for them to help them learn. I have substituted for a couple students and I had a student of my own for some time. It has been a great experience working with everyone and to see how excited they got to see me. I am patient and love to learn each students needs and their learning styles. I am very empathetic and I care about my students and their needs and to see them grow and their talents flourish. I love to teach different musical styles such as classical, pop, musical theater, and more. I have been studying classical, musical theater and other music for over 9 years now. I always love a challenge and love to grow my own skills along with my students.

I will start of by getting to know the student; their needs, goals, interests, experience, etc. We can start of with discussing these things and music interested. I will assign music and students may choose music to work on as well. The first lesson will be an introduction and then we will build repertoire. As we are working on music we will discuss ways of learning, memorizing, technical musical terms, and more. I will create custom lesson plans for my lessons. I put a lot of time, thought, and effort into my lesson planning for each individual student.
