Hi my name is Jared and I’ve been a musician for as long as I can remember I’ve been playing drums since I was around 2 years old and playing guitar since I was 7. I have played in a handful of bands and have been self taught in my music abilities with a little guidance when I was given the chances to ask other musicians. And I have a great passion for music and making my abilities better as one. I’m here to teach and inspire and give others that feeling that I get from playing instruments and music. I hope that I can teach and also learn form the people I work with and create a safe warm welcoming environment to help others gain the knowledge and practicing abilities they need to become successful at learning music or to pursue a career in the music industry.
I have little experience with teaching but I have taught a few people to play guitar and drums and have had success with it. I also have played in some bands and have learned from them and have taught them some things as well. I’m hard working dedicated person with a passion for music and I want to explore my options of teaching and playing music and grow with my abilities to learn and teach others. I’m hoping from this experience I can gain a lot of knowledge and help others live their passions and hobbies and to enjoy them as well.
My methods are going to be based off of their level of experience and their ability to grasp concepts. I would teach through books and other tools I have taught myself with and help my students gain knowledge and helpful tips to gain them a better idea on how to practice and play what they want to play. I will put together ideas for a lesson plan and if needed change it up a bit as I see fit for each individual student I’m working with cause some will learn different then others. I will also give practice tools to my students to go over with before our next session.
For me I’m hoping to help a person gain a whole new outlook on how they see music. I want to have them grab the material and really focus on the basics so that when they get to the next levels of their teachings that they will have an easier transition. I want to develop a good relationship with my students so they are ultimately comfortable with my teaching experience. Nothing could make me happier than to see an my students smile and see progress and feel that passion and the total satisfaction of playing music. I hope to see them enjoy the instrument of their choice and see them grow and blossom into an amazing musician weather or not it’s for a career or hobby interest.
