My goal is to teach my students the skills that they need to become professional, working musicians. My patience and enthusiasm are what distinguish me as a teacher. I've studied Music Composition at the New World School of the Arts and Audio Engineering at Full Sail University. I've had the opportunity to work in a variety of musical environments from performing in rock and pop bands to recording for national television commercials. This has helped me develop a versatile approach to music education that is both fun and rewarding.
I have been teaching music for over 5 years. I've had students from all ages and backgrounds, from 5 to 75 years old. I feel that learning how to play music is a powerful force that brings happiness and joy into the world. It is my job to keep my students motivated and confident in the abilities that they’re developing. I also encourage my students to experiment with different kinds of music to learn what sets their hearts on fire. Music is a personal journey and I dedicate my efforts to creating a clear path to success.
I customize each lesson specifically for my students so that they remain satisfied and fulfilled with what they are learning. Each student has different interests and it’s my job to build a music curriculum around them. I usually encourage my students to have both a method book for fundamental skills, and a performance book with pieces that they want to learn. We will decide this after the first introductory lesson.
My main goal is to develop a love and passion for music! We will learn the fundamentals and decide together which direction we want to go. I have experience in many different styles of music, so the path is open whether it's classical, rock, pop, etc...
