I am a very dedicated and lively guitar instructor. I have taught many children, teenagers and adults in beginning guitar lessons. I specialize in beginners. I teach how to hold a guitar and strumming and picking styles. I can teach how to read music. I teach chords and notes in many different styles. My lessons are focused on getting the student to play right away and advance each week. Student and parent input is valued. I am a very patient teacher and love music. I speak six languages and can also teach guitar in Spanish.
Minor in Music from a major university. 6 years of private lessons at excellent music schools, many styles I give to students practice and practical lessons.
I start off teaching students from a beiginning guitar book such as a Hal Leonard book. I let then play alont with me. i have a nice Marting guitar. I teach them how to hold a guitar and how to strum. I get them prepared to play noters, chords and songs. I am excellent with beginners. I let adults have input for what they want to learn. My lessons are fun and get the student involved in the lesson,
I use positive reinforcement to help students get better at playing the guitar. I make the student feel comfortable learning and make the lessons fun. I give them plenty of chance to show me what they know. I have them playing notes and chords in no time. I start out with simple chords and move on to more advanced chords.
