I have taught piano lessons for over 30 years. . I started taking piano lessons myself when I was in third grade. Music has always been such an important part of my life that I want to share that gift with others - for them to love music as much as I do. My husband and I have pastored churches for over 30 years and I was always involved in the music ministry .My husband is a professor of preaching and worship at Asbury University at the Orlando Dunham Campus. I have three sons married to wonderful wives and two grandboys- Malachi and Elliot.
I have taught music in two private elementary and jr high schools I have directed children, youth and children's choirs. I love seeing the eyes of students light up when they understand the concepts and when It gets into their hearts.
I use the Alfred Music Series. I like the progression of the lessons. It lays out the lessons in a logical way. There are different levels of studies for various age students - the young beginner, the older beginner, and the adult.
The lessons are based on the student progressing at their own pace. We work through the lesson books. There are supplemental books that we can use based on interest and desire of the student.
