I am originally from Massapequa, New York. My first teacher was Alexander Goldfield. As a member of the Long Island Youth Orchestra I traveled to China during the summer of 1983. I am graduate of Molloy College where I minored in music performance. I was a member of the York River Symphony Orchestra in Yorktown, VA from 1996- 2015. I currently reside in Miami with my spouse. I own a 1952 Erminio Malaguti cello and a 1947 John Jezek original Red Label Master Art cello. My repertoire includes the 6 Bach Suites for cello solo, Haydn cello concerto #1 D and C major, Saint Saens cello concerto in A minor, Vivaldi 6 cello sonatas, Brahms cello Sonata, Dotzauer, Gruetzmacher and Popper cello etudes. I use the Whitehouse scale book and Marc Yampolsky chord book. My favorite cellist is Janos Starker. There is a recording of him playing the 3 Spanish dances based on a theme from Goya, by Grenados.
