Overview:
I’m a singer-songwriter who’s written with countless artists throughout the world.im a recording artist and a guitar player(acoustic) I play in unique ‘tunings’ C# for one of course 440 E...I enjoy passing on what I’ve learned and practiced for years....I love seeing the accomplishment look on students faces...Music is an internal healer...we All need it...I teach Voice and Acoustic Guitar ...I’ve traveled on USO tours and played with countless Amazing musicians and look forward to passing on my knowledge to you
EXPERIENCE
I started teaching part time to other songwriters because I was being asked to....my exp from playing on the road led me Down this path....I would learn new ways of phrasing through different tunings I would use and other musicians would inquire about the way I was playing a certain thing and suggest that I teach the method...I wanted to teach guitar in a way that would inspire students and not make practicing such a Heavy weight..I love for young students to be able to ‘accompany’ themselves when performing their art
METHODS USED
I’m diffuwhen it comes to ‘plans’ ...I want students to understand the scales and I encourage that in their practice but I also want them to learn by ear....picking out favorite tune they love and gaining confidence through that achievement....it also helps them in their everyday life ...confidence-confidence-confidence.....can’t be Stressed enough....I start out with basics and I continuously evaluate the students trying to recognize when they are ready to move on to the next level....I want to make lessons Fun!
LESSON STYLE
My teaching style is unique.....I evaluate the students and try to learn from their likes and dislikes and teach accordingly.....the Last thing a teacher wants to do is Discourage a young stundent ,inundating then with boring songs......a teacher that makes an impact will carefully listen to the students finding out what style of music they gravitate too...helping them in the best way achieve their musical goals...as a parent I try different ‘approaches’ in teaching my child different things ...I do the same with musical students
