I have more than 20 years in the Music. I m a Singer- Songwriter, Composer, Arranger and Producer. I had play in all sorts of different events and different people. From theaters, Stadiums, Bars, party events. I had played and work with world famous musicians and artists. From the Jazz scene as from the Pop scene. I worked as a Guitar player with famous producer and Disco Music Legend Bob Esty. I had also worked with famous artists as David Bisbal and played with legendary musicians as Frank Gambale, Michael Shapiro, Dorian Holley and Otmaro Ruiz
I started giving Music lessons 20 years ago. I began giving private lessons and group lessons part time in the afternoons after I finish school in the mornings. Young students come to me asking me for lessons after a Gig or performance. I found very interesting and exiting to see the progress of the students with my own personal methods. We follow a process with disciple but we also have fun and we go to the direction that the student feels more attracted. Is really good and important to have a good foundation of the concepts to later on keep finding their own voice in to the instrument. The correct way is important to not develop bad habits that can affect the performance of the student. At the end music has to be about enjoying and having fun. Also making life's of your close circle of people more wonderful!
My methods are the ones that works more for the student. For some reason some methods work better with certain people. One method can be tedious for a student and easy and fun for another. Hal Leonard's can be a good tool. I can use to many different books. Also I can write down specific exercises special for the student. Some times a student can learn faster without a book. Just by following my instructions and the fun for the music can make this student to internalize the exercises and never forget the anymore. As for what you learn very well it stays with you and never goes away.
I Try to get away from mechanism without joy. Everything has to be close to the music. Exercises to be actually doing them with a rhythm and time. Other than doing things musically, practicing in different times and intentions help a lot for the student to be open to play songs in different ways. Technique and theory are necessary tools. To apply concepts musically they need to do it with musical taste. For a good developing of a good musical interpretation. My students have to transform those exercises in to real music and touch hearts with feeling.
