I'm a patient and easy going instructor. I take the time to get to know my students and tailor my lessons to each individual student. I have 17 years of experience playing guitar and 6 years of experience playing bass. My main genre(s) are classic rock, metal, progressive rock/metal, and blues. I am about to graduate Berklee Collage Of Music with a Bachelors degree in performance on 05/11/19, with my principle instrument being guitar. I have 4 years of teaching experience and I've worked for School Of Rock for two summers back in 2017 and 2018.
I have 4 years of experience teaching private lessons. I started as a freelance instructor in my home town of Tabernacle NJ. I work at School Of Rock in Medford NJ for two summers, in 2017 and 2018. Teaching is one of my favorite things to do, I love sharing my knowledge with other people. To be able to inspire people, help them find their sound, and most of all bring a smile to their face is what I take pride in. I am flexible and understanding, I take the time to get to know my students!
I tailor my lesson to each student, everyone has a different way of learning and interpreting the crazy world of music. For beginning students we start with the basics, how to hold a pick, how to tune your guitar and basic fretting technique. From there we go into the basic fundamentals of chords and scales. I always try to use example from the students favorite music, and teach this theory through learning their favorite songs. I always show the students real songs using the theory or techniques I am demonstrating. At the end of the day we want to make music!
I always enjoy seeing my students develop a passion for music! I don't use a standard book system since my lessons are geared around the individual students musical taste. I set realistic goals and always make sure I am not overwhelming the student with work or information. During a lesson I frequent stop to make sure their understanding the information i am giving them. I am flexible with my schedule, and it's pretty easy to reschedule a lesson with me if need be. If a student is having trouble understanding something, I always take the time to find out where their having trouble with so I can approach it from a different more appropriate angle for them.
