Being a seasoned and experienced musician with a extensive resume of playing and collaborating on different musical projects along my music career allowed me to grow a passion for teaching as well; and then fifteen years ago I began teaching private classes on my home studio to a number of students of different ages. Instilling and implementing method of music theory, harmony and constant practice to my students on a daily basis would make them progress faster on their learning the instrument; in this case acoustic classic guitar and electric guitar. I'm always encouraging and pushing my students to practice more on a daily basis and make them aware that practice and going over the lessons over and over makes them better every day. I'm always also pushing and motivating them to learn more and practice more. The more they practice each lesson the better they become and the more they would have control of the instrument. Always motivating my students to push forward and practice in class as I monitor their own progress and guide them to practice on their own at least one hour to two hours daily.
For beginners with no prior knowledge or musical education I start with the MelBay Method Modern Guitar 1. After they acquired the basic & fundamental Knowledge and skills in an entertaining way then I move on to teach them the first lesson of the Melbay method the student learns the first note on the first three strings of the guitar. Later based on their progress I move on to teach them the first scales and natural and simple accords with songs that stimulate and encourage their learning process according to their level of musical knowledge.
With advanced students I work on perfecting their tecniques, finding their own sounds and styles, playing with concept and cleaning quick notes, harmony, solfeggio practice, writing their own music. Also teaching advance solo classes as sweep picking, ligato, hammer on pull off, and pick control.
It's extremely rewarding and gratifying seeing some of my beginner students as well as advanced starting from scratch on a daily continuing effort, practicing and studying hard, pushing forward putting time on a daily basis practicing in class and on their own finally becoming and developing into seasoned and experienced musicians and joining musical bands some; and doing solo musical projects others. Recording and performing professionally. Give you a sense accomplishment having been able to change lives and be part of their future. Seeing that your daily effort in each one of them pays so much
