I am a member of the Symphonicity Orchestra in Virginia Beach, VA and the Georgia Philharmonic Orchestra in Atlanta, GA. I have studied under the direction of The Hampton Roads Chamber Players and The Bay Youth Orchestra in Norfolk, VA. Currently performs several times a year at The Biltmore House in Asheville, NC and several other events in the Atlanta Metro area. Pursuing school for a Bachelors in Complimentary and Alternative Health specializing in music therapy at Ashford University. I currently hold an AAS in Paralegal Studies and studied at Kaplan University.
Methods I specialize in is the Suzuki Method, Traditional techniques, Fiddling, Classical, Jazz, Contemporary Music, and more. Locations I work in currently but not limited to are Decatur, Stone Mountain, Tucker, Norcross, Suwanee, Buford, Marietta, Dunwoody, South Atlanta, Atlanta Metro, Virginia, and Canada.
Teaching for 12 years and playing for 18 years has really inspired me to cater to every age, and the student’s personal goals and their particular culture as there are no limitations to my style. I have experience creating music programs for church ministries, learning centers, music academies and more. My programs offer growth within child development skills as an individual as well as a group setting, helping the student to be more confident at a young age and continue to grow as well for adults, give challenges to the student, fun games for memorization of music and to enjoy the lessons, and most importantly how to share their gift with family and friends while going through performing etiquette training.
My lessons are tailored to every individual client, company, organization, mission statement, etc. I customize all methods and teaching styles based on clients needs. It is wonderful to be adaptive to the student due to the fact that it makes it more current with the needs at that present time and I can always teach the student on a case-by-case scenario as they need. Most students love the fact that I can teach them based on competition material, upcoming auditions, theatre production show material, etc.
I enjoy teaching students of all ages, from all walks of life, background, cultures, and I have a passion for the community. I also work with the Autistic, ADHD, and Disability community. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. By trying to find out what inspires the student, I can successfully tailor my instruction to their wants and needs..
