I'm a passionate teacher who loves working with students of all levels and share my love for music. In 2008, I graduated from Russian Academy of Theatre Arts with a Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theatre. Since that time I performed all over the world as a leading soloist in the shows of Sambateria World Music Orquestra, Spanish Dance Theater Flamenco Live, Gypsy Soul Show. I recorded the album of old Spanish and Sephardic songs "Andalusia" and soon I release the album of my songs in a World Music style. I've also had an opportunity to perform for the officials of Spain, Russia and Kazakhstan and being a part of the cultural program of the Department of the Moscow City.
My teaching experience dates back to my days of study, as I began teaching private lessons part time 12 years ago, and have been consistently teaching students in my home studio for the last 10 years as well as doing workshops in different countries. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the singing or instrument. I've also found that a combination of classical, traditional world music and modern music have a very students enjoy the singing or playing and motivate them to practice and continue to learn. I create a fun and relaxed environment on my lessons to make students learn new things with interest and develop their skills without any fear and blocks. My students are encouraged to enter competitions and recitals, as well as work on composing their own original material, so they can feel good about their accomplishments and stay motivated to learn. I'm always looking to bring on new students of all ages and levels!
For beginning students who are children, I typically start with blend of methods based on the game form of learning, in which all the appropriate to the child's age skills are acquired through the fun techniques and songs. For piano lessons I prefer use the Alfred's piano books or Hal Leonard's books, for voice lessons I use the methods of classical singing school, Set Riggs method and pop & jazz techniques, it depends on the style, that student prefers to learn. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, maybe some particular genre or style of music, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level.
The best award for the teacher is seeing his student develops his own talent. And I'm sure that every one is talented and the only question is how it talent will be enriched and developed. I encourage my student being their true self in performing, feeding from traditional and modern sources but keeping his own unique voice or playing style, accomplishing his personal goals, without comparing his own dynamics and results with other people, but working on becoming better than himself every day of learning. I pay a great attention to what every student needs and create an original approach to it.
