Bachelor's degree in music perfomance from Oral Roberts University. Currently working on masters in music performace at Oklahoma University.
I have been teaching guitar lessons for over ten years. I have been playing in professional bands that tour all over Oklahoma and surrounding states for over 6 years. I play solo performances regularly for a variety of social events. My students have gone on to pursue degrees in music and play in successful bands. I am a patient teacher that is very dedicated to my students sucess. My reverence for music sustains my passion for teaching and I love sharing that passion with others.
My passion for teaching is a big part of my career as a musician. I learn so much from my students. My favorite part of teaching is experiencing a student start out as a beginner and watch them develope into acomplished musicians. When I first see that spark in their eyes when they learn their first song is why I enjoy teaching so much.
I usually teach what style the student wants to learn. I am most proficient in teaching classical, blues, rock, metal, and jazz. I teach out of three diferrent books that have very effective curriculums. I also teach my own methods that have helped me personally become a better guitarist. I teach children and adults and my methods are adaptable to evey student from begginer to advanced.
I love seeing my students suceed. Its important to me for each student to progress at their own pace. I want the students lesson to be fun and easy going. I try to assure my students that music is supposed to be a realease and not cause more stress and frustration.
