Overview:
I've been teaching children and adults of all ages for over a decade. I'm extremely passionate about teaching and music and it shows in my teaching. I work very closely with my students and their families to help each student reach their goals in their own unique ways. This is not cookie cutter teaching!
EXPERIENCE
I've been singing my whole life and playing violin since I was 9. I'm a motivated and passionate teacher and student with tons of experience in a plethora of orchestras, choirs, shows, symphonies, quartets, small groups and many more. I've soloed in almost all and held roles such as concert master, section leader, competition winner, soloist, guest soloist and lead role in many.
METHODS USED
I use Suzuki as a push off point for violinists. But I will teach anything a musician would like to learn and have music for almost all styles. I usually will begin vocalists with any song they are interested in learning and can recommend books more tailored to their needs and goals upon meeting.
LESSON STYLE
Teaching is uniquely tailored to the needs of the individual. Part of what keeps teaching so exciting over the years is the constant discovery of new methods and techniques that will reach the unique needs of each new student.
