I began teaching as a college student, conducting workshops at high schools. I then began to teach on an individual basis, and instructed students of all ages and abilities. Through these experiences, I found joy in teaching and love having fun with my students. I learned the best way to motivate my students was by making my lessons as fun, education and enjoyable as possible.  

For all students I try to incorporate all elements of music by including appropriate amounts music history and theory into my lessons. For beginners, I tend to utilize Trevor Wye exercises, and slowly incorporate small musical pieces. Although tedious, I believe that scales and etudes make students technically and musically proficient. I therefore include them in my lessons, but ensure the students are gaining the benefit of these exercises. I like to approach lessons from a wholistic standpoint, putting an emphasis on a student's posture, breathing and attitude.
